Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War, Winter AssaultThis version of Warhammer reminds me of a modified version of Warcraft III.
The play is almost exactly the same. Certain units build, others destroy, etc. The single player mode is still objective based with a new storyline as well as other little twists, like a new faction. This time the single player game revolves around locating a huge weapon forged in the foundries of Mars. The sound and graphics are pretty good, not fantastic but decent. The gameplay acts just like the previous version of Warhammer 40,000, or for those not familiar with the previous version just like Warcraft III or almost any strategy game nowdays for that matter. One of the problems I had with this game was that I didn't have exact control over my units. As I gave them orders, they would sometimes obey or sometimes not. Sometimes, they would wonder off all together. All in all though, this is a fun RTS game for anyone who likes futuristic or fantasy strategy games. I recommend this game to RTS gamers who have already beaten or gotten bored of all the other great RTS games out there and are looking for something new. This isn't one of those hurry up and buy games, but it is decent.
