Introduction to Crafting
A variety of items can be made through Crystal Synthesis, using the power of crystals to combine different components together. There are many types of components such as leather, cloth, metal, gems, et cetera; all which require different guild skills to work with. One can master as many fields as they like; there are no limitations.

Let's take a look at available guilds. With the exception of fishing, all guilds depend on your skill level to synthesize items with crystals.

Fishing Carpenter Blacksmith
Goldsmith Weaver Tanner
Bonework Alchemy Culinarian
Getting Started
First you will need to have a recipe. We will use a basic Goldsmith recipe as an example:

Copper Ingot Synthesize 4 copper ores by using a fire crystal

After you know what you need, you will have to collect them. Buying from auction house is the quickest way to go, but you can also collect them by hunting monsters. Ores are dropped from worms, while crystals are a bit trickier.

In order to make your enemy drop crystals, you will need to make sure that the following conditions are met:

Signet cast on you by your nation guard
To be in an area ruled by one of the nations, not by the beastmen
An enemy strong enough to worth any EXP to you
Each enemy will drop crystals related to their elemental type. For example: Fish drop water crystals, bees drop wind crystals, caterpillars drop earth crystals and so on. Most Goblins and all Orcs will drop fire crystals for you.

After you obtain all components needed, it is time to synthesize them together. Open your item menu and use your fire crystal. You will get a new window with 8 slots. Put in 4 copper ores in there and click the green button (red button is to cancel.) If the components are correct, your character will kneel down and start working with crystals. If you fail, you will lose the crystal with a possibility of losing some of your components as well.

As long as you know the recipes you can start mixing items right away to train your skill. But soon your skill will come to a cap (number will turn blue to indicate), after which you will need a proper promotion from the guild in order to advance further. Joining Guilds
By applying for becoming a disciple at each guild, you are recognized as a member of the guild. You can join as many guilds as you like without limitation. There are great advantages being a member of the guild. They are the only ones that can promote you, allowing you to further your skill, but your guild will also provide you with appropriate recipes and image support.

Guild promotion is possible when the first digit of skill point reaches 8. Once your skill reaches 8 you should go to your guild to receive your promotion test. With out promotion, your skill will be capped when the first digit reaches 0. 10, 20, 30 ... etc etc. Promotions are a little test to see if you are worthy to continue to higher levels. The Guild will request that you make a certain item. Once you craft the item and give it to the guildmaster, you will be promoted. You can also buy the items if you wish.

'Synthesizing Image Support' is a temporarily synthesis skill enhancement. The guild will only provide image support to their disciples. This is why you should you join the Guild before starting synthesizing. Each Guild has their own difficulties, especially goldsmithing, which is very tough. Without image support, you're likely to fail over and over!
