Wii Reviews: Trauma Center Second Opinion

Trauma Center Second Opinion
When I first saw this game I said to myself "Oh give me a break, this game is going to blow". But after playing it, I have to revise my previous statement and say "It's actually kind of addictive". The premise is kind of sick, you're a surgeon, and you perform surgeries on patients using the Wii Remote and the Nunchuck. But the storyline and intensity of the gameplay is what really makes this game a winner.

The game starts off easy enough with some basic step by step surgical procedures, but before you know it...your on your own and thinking "Oh, crap...now what do I do". The levels instantly get harder and harder, where a more steady and fast hand is needed to complete the surgeries. I don't want to ruin the storyline by giving away too much information, but I will say this, the storyline evolves quickly off the expected path into an almost sci-fi anime theme.

The sound on this game is pretty good...except for when the nurse keeps yelling "Doctor!" after you do something stupid. The music is pretty basic, almost what you'd expect on the Nintendo DS. The gameplay is really good, I really like the way this game makes good use of the Nunchuck and the Wii Remote. The voiceovers...well there really aren't any, you'll spend most of your time reading the dialog.

All in all I have to say I like this game more than I dislike it, although even after playing it I wouldn't find myself rushing right out to the store to get the sequel. It's a decent game and if you have never played any of the previous Trauma Center games, you'll probably enjoy this title.
