Steel BattalionWhen this product first came out, I thought "oh great, another really expesive controller to buy", and skipped purchasing it at its $300 sale price. Now that it has been out for quite some time, I took another look at it and low and behold, now you can purchase it around $100 on ebay.com and the like. So I bought a brand new copy which included the controller and the original game. This game is quite cool for the mech enthusiast. Personally being a huge fan of Robotech and Battletech I find the game insanely cool to play. That being said there are a few draw backs. The first being the controller, I love the complexity of the controller and the real life feel it gives you, especially when boot it up. The problem I found with it right away was that there was no force feedback, and no rumble at all. This to me is a major oversight on this product. Other than that, that game is awesome. It's extremely complicated to figure out at first, but once you get the controls down pat, it kicks butt. The graphics and sound are very good. The storyline is pretty decent as well. Reminds me of the old school Battletech days, way before there was an electronic version. The game play is solid, yet sometimes the friendly AI can be a bit retarded. One occasion your own forces will walk into each other and bump around a bit, which looks pretty comical. This game gets the big thumbs up for me, escpecially now that the entire system can be picked up at a reasonable price.
