PC Game Reviews: Starship Troopers

Starship Troopers
This game to me is just ok. Right from the start the first thing I noticed was that the graphics were not very good by today's standards. Being that this is an FPS the next thing I noticed was that the mouse control for aiming was a bit sluggish. It wasn't snappy like it should be, say for Unreal Tournament or Half-Life2. When you move to shoot, your crosshairs should be right there, not slow and behind. One of the more odd things about this game is that it is in a bright and happy setting, with happy music and cheerful voice overs...while there are corpses strung all about and people being ripped to shreds in front of you. Another problem I have with this game is that the ability to jump onto boxes, canisters, etc. is really glitchy. You always feel like you just about to get stuck in the graphics. The missions are pretty far fetched as well. Being that this is an objective based game, one of the first missions you receive is to go and retrieve somethings to power up a beacon and better defend to fort. So they send you out there alone. How dumb is that, you have an entire compound full of marines and they send you out against hordes of bugs with two guns...yeah, that's realistic. This is just another FPS, nothing special at all. If anything it is substandard. Don't waste your time with this one.

You underrate it, its easily worth buying, and would be worth more than it costs if there were still people online, though I've seen a few people on occasionally. It also has an enjoyable Co-Op mode. The graphics are NOT bad in any way, and there's no aiming delay. It snaps right were I need it, when I need it. They dont sound bright and happy at all, and your blatantly making up the sound of music. If anything its ignorance. They need the beacon powered up, but they need to have a beacon too. So they defend while you(The Marauder) go out and get it.
In this game you play as a Marauder, an experienced soldeir who is giving more of his time to help fight. Because they are comming back to fight, instead of just reenlistings, they are given a powerful(expensive) suit of armor, and gun. Therefore, making you just as strong as the outpost that they needed to defend the beacon,
