XBox 360 Game Reviews: Final Fantasy XI Online

Final Fantasy XI Online
This is one of the most involved MMORPG systems I have played in quite some time. Combine the luxury of sitting far back from the TV with a wireless controller and using XBox live's built in chat and headset to communicate with the rest of your party and you have one great MMORPG. Another nice thing about playing on the XBox 360 is that you can use any USB keyboard and begin type chatting. I personally prefer the wireless USB keyboard, it makes for great comfort. This game has all the features of the original version for PS2 and the PC version, just a little quicker to use. For example, to use a macro you can either hit the correct function key on the keyboard, or just use your right trigger and select it. This is a great port of Final Fantasy XI built for comfort.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with Final Fantasy XI online, you should definately visit the official Final Fantasy XI site and check it out. The world is enormous, with multiple continents, tons of cities, towns and castles...as well as quite a few hidden places and items. The basic premise of the game is simple, you choose a character, race, profession, look, etc. After that, it's completely up to you how you play the game. You can complete quests and level, simply explore your surroundings, open up a casino, you name it. It is absolutely amazing and highly addictive. As a matter of fact, this game is so addictive it has an addiction disclaimer that comes up when you start the game, reminding you not to neglect your friends, family and work. I highly recommend this game, it is amazing.
