Call of Duty 2Call of Duty 2 is a pretty good WWII FPS. The game just like its predacessor is very much objective based. As individual objectives are completed, you can progress to the next area. The graphics are quite good as well, with built in support of multi video card machines. One drawback which I didn't much care for was the gun site which completely disappears as you move. Combine that with the fact that every time you fire, your aim automatically bounces upward, giving you the recoil effect and you've got some pretty frusterating gameplay. The actual in game movement controls are pretty good once you get the hang of it. But as for the actual firing of weapons, the recoil and loss of crosshairs when moving slow you down. The other troop members communicate pretty well with you letting you know what your objectives are with out having to view the objectives screen. They also provide you with decent cover, however from time to time they are a complete nuisance as stand up right in your firing path. The sound is really good and is configurable for most major sound card setups. All in all this is a pretty good WWII FPS and if you're a fan of the genre you should pick it up.
