Need For Speed: Most WantedThis game is very cool, one of the best racing games I have played to date. One of the really outstanding features of this game and the first time I have ever seen this is a pure racing game, is the ability to drive anywhere. You don't just race on a set course or track in this game, you do that for a particular race but immediately afterward you're back in free drive mode and able to drive from city to city. Another feature that I find pretty unique for a racing game is the story driven portion of this game. This is the first time I've seen a good racing game with a good storyline that pushes the game along versus just racing to get to different tracks or win a title. The premise of the storyline here is that you're an underground racer who comes into a new city and immediately meets a super fine racer girl, gets harassed by the cops and gets challenged by the blacklist underground team. Problem is the lead guy who eventually challenges you is a chump and sabotages your car, so halfway through the race your car takes a crap and you loose. Racing against a blacklist member and loosing means you loose your car and herein lies the storyline. You're racing to get your killer car back. Another of the really cool aspects of this game is the fact that you don't just watch what happened in the past with movie flashbacks, you actually play the past. The graphics on this game are very good, as to be expected from EA racing games. The sound effects and music are fantastic, this game incorporates a fantastic soundtrack ranging anywhere from Drums N Bass to hardcore thrash metal. The gameplay, well what can I say about that, it's a need for speed game, it's great. You spend a lot of time racing to earn money and pimp out your car, you can buy parts, new bodies, rims, new cars, you name it. You'll also spend a lot of time running from the cops, which personally I find quite satisfying...you know you've wanted to try it just once. They also have incorporated well know actors into the game, so the cut scenes have real actors with real acting, it's not bad. I'd have to say that this game is a fantastic racing game and I highly recommend it to all who like racing or underground racing games.
