Playstation 2 Game Reviews: Disney's Chicken Little

Disney's Chicken Little
This corny little game turned out to be a lot of fun, with many different types of games within it. At first glance this game appears to be another one of those terrible, let's see if we can make some more money movie games. But as it turns out, this game was pretty fun. The idea is pretty simple, help Chicken Little do whatever it is he needs to do to reach his goal. The game plays pretty much like the movie does except, there are quite a few movie cuts scenes to let you know where in the movie you are. The gameplay however is not as straight forward as it would seem. At first you are Chicken Little trying to get to school on time. Then you play as Chicken Little, flying around with a soda bottle on your back which has a completely different control system. Then you play a game of dodgeball which is actually really fun. The entire game is made up of standard 3rd person 3D gaming a lot like Spyro and tons of mini games like dodgeball, and childs version of Grand Theft Auto where you race a long the streets of Chicken Little's neighborhood, elements of Paperboy, etc. The game all in all turned out to be quite challenging in the later levels, very entertaining. The gameplay was almost completely glitch free, a very well made game. The only problems I had gameplay wise was the occaisonal fight with the camera, it sometimes wants to go where you don't need it to. Other than that the graphics were good, the sound was great, it had a really fun soundtrack and the storyline basically filled in the gaps where to movie didn't. For instance, what happened the whole time they were on the ship. I highly recommend this game for anyone's children of for just an innocent fun play along the lines of Spyro.
