X3 Reunion
I've been following the development of what looks to be a fantastic up and coming game called X3 The Reunion. Now personally I loved the Homeworld franchise, it was the first true 3D space war simulation games I had played and it had a great storyline. This new game X3 has some of the most beautiful graphics I have ever seen on a space simulation of this caliber. Now granted, I've never played any of the other X space games, come to think of it I've never even heard of the X space franchise, but nevertheless it looks fantastic.
