Stubbs The Zombie: Rebel Without A Pulse
At first glance this game looks killer cool, there are a lot of very cool things you can do such as fart bombs, gut grenades, brain eating ect. But after a few minutes, I was bored out of my mind. The gameplay is the same over and over again. Every level has an objective, but they are pretty much the same everytime. Eat brains, blow this up, make an army of Zombies and progress. Along the way you pick up the ability to perform new attacks, but that's about all there is to look forward to. Even in cooperative mode with your friends, this game gets old pretty quick. The graphics look good and the idea is originial, however there is just too much repetition is this game to me to keep me interested. I need new things a bit more frequently than this game can provide, either that or a compelling storyline. The storyline in this case is your a zombie who goes to a 1950's style futuristic city, complete with robots and hover cars. You see a blond woman and fall in love. From that point on you are infecting the city with zombies, eating brains, etc all the while trying to get to the girl you love. The game has a great sense of humor and many humorous things happen in the game, but unfortunately this game falls short in the keep players interested arena. The sound is quite good, with funny voice overs grunts and moans, and a decent soundtrack. The gameplay is also quite fun for the first few minutes you play. All in all, I didn't like this game too much which was unfortunate because I was really looking forward to playing this game.
