Shadow of The ColossusOh my god people, this is the most incredible and visually stunning game I have ever played on the Playstation 2. Shadow of The Colossus is the most imaginative and fantastic adventure game I have seen to date. The entire game is composed of realtime rendered scenary and the world is huge. There are no loading screens, as you ride from one area to the next the objects in the distance fade into view in realtime. The storyline is quite imaginative as well, they don't give you a full breakdown, it's one of those games where you're left to figure out most of it for yourself. All you are aware of at first is that you are a warrior on a beautiful horse carrying a dead woman into a temple. From there you place her on an alter and are confronted by ghostly apparitions which disappear after you hold your sword out to confront them. Then an ominous voice booms down from above detailing that if you want to save the girl, you must defeat these colossal monsters portrayed by statue figures that line the walls of the temple. You then learn that the way to find these mosters in this vast world is to hold your sword up in the light and a reflection beam with show you the way. The gameplay in this game is incredible. You have full control over your characters movements, weapons and actions. You can climb, grip, jump, strike, grip and jump, roll, etc. and all of these moves come in handy as you advance from colossus to colossus. The sound is amazing, it really adds to the game very well. The voice overs good great. The graphics, well what can I say about that, truly amazing. This is a must have for any gamer regardless of game preference. I recommend this game to all gamers, if you haven't seen this game yet, you need to get it...it will take your breath away.
