Playstation 2 Game Reviews: The Suffering: Ties That Bind

The Suffering: Ties That Bind
This game has a great storyline and storyline scripting. The concept is a bit different, but the gameplay is pretty familiar. This game picks up right where the previous one left off. It even has a nice flash back sequence just in case you forgot. If you haven't played the original title, I highly suggest you do that first. It is not absolutely necessary to have beat the first game, but it is a good idea. This game is dark and sick...just like I like it. Tons of blood and gore along with intense scripting and storyline make this a really fun play if you're into nightmarish games. The sounds are great and really add to the overall immersion in this game. The only thing lacking in this game is the graphics. The graphics are definately enough to keep you interested in the game, but nothing to write home to mom about. This is probably mostly due to the limitation of the Playstation 2 hardware. That aside this is a very cool game. I highly recommend this game to fans of blood and gore along the lines of the Doom III and Silent Hill.

I beat this game like a red headed step child with bad teeth. The game was decent, but a bit easy for me. Only took me about 8 hours from start to finish.
