Mortal Kombat: Shaolin MonksWow, this game kicks butt. Mortal Kombat : Shaolin Monks is an Action/Adventure title driven by both intense single and multi-player action. Complete with background interactions (i.e., acid pits, living trees, spiked ceilings, etc.), multiple new fatalities, and action-based puzzles also play an important role in the player’s quest for an "outstanding" victory. Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks features an impressive line-up of Mortal Kombat characters, as well, that make frequent appearances as enemies, in boss battles and during several additional in-game interactions. This game is not your normal Mortal Kombat type game. This game is more or less an RPG with character building abilities and realtime fighting that includes a lot of the standard Mortal Kombat moves. Another element of this game which makes it a great play is the enemy interactions with each other. For example, if you're in a room full of ghouls and you move out of the way when a ghoul is attacking, that ghoul will hit the other ghoul behind you and they will begin duking it out all on their own. One element of this game that I wasn't too impressed with was some of the movie sequences. They could have been done a bit better, I found them to be a little glitchy. However, this game is really all about the gameplay. The storyline is the same old Mortal Kombat storyline, protect the earth realm from the bad guys. I used to be a Mortal Kombat fiend, all up until Deception, I thought that game was just terrible, and now I'm about to become a fiend again. The in game graphics are great, I love the fatality and background fatality system. The sound is just like the previous Mortal Kombat titles. All in all, this is a highly addictive action game, very bloody and very fun. I highly recommend this game to all those who liked God of War, Onimusha, Devil May Cry or similar games or who are fans of the Mortal Kombat franchise, it is awesome.
