Console Buyer's Guide
The most common console buying question I recieve is "Which console is the best?" To put it simply, there is no all around best, it's a matter of what you like to play and how you like to play it.

If you're the kind of person who wants a system that you can just flip on and being playing fun party like games with friends. Then the Nintendo Wii is probably the system for you. The Nintendo Wii offers a wide range of fun interactive games geared towards simple gameplay and interactivity with the player. Instead of just sitting on the couch and pressing buttons, the Wii invites you to stand and swing the controller through the air, providing both and interactive experience as well as a bit of a work out.

Now, if you're the kind of person who wants nothing more than top notch graphics in HD with full online support and a wide variety of games, then you might want to purchase an XBox 360. The XBox 360 encourages you to be online so that you can compare your game stats and perform other activities with others. This console gives you the ability right out of the box to message friends, be alerted when friends sign in, voice chat, download content and more without any painful setup. Just plug and go. The graphics capability of the XBox 360 is quite breathtaking as well, games written to take advantage of the 360's hardware are visually stunning and most of the time have fantastic gameplay and online support. Tie this in with the xbox live gamercard system and you can broadcast to the world, how much of a gamer you really are.

If you're a cutting edge type of person, always looking for the latest and greatest, then there is another system trying to combine elements of both previously decribed consoles, the Playstation 3. With a gyroscopic and standard control in one, incredible graphics in HD and proccessing power, live online capabilities and built-in blue-ray player, the Playstation 3 looks like a strong competitor in the consoles war. The major drawbacks at the time of the Playstation 3's release appears to be the same as the XBox 360's initial release; Insufficient backwards compatibility support for games and very few games titles available. The backwards compatibility will more than likely be cleared up in the months to come in the same way Microsoft has done by releasing system updates online. As for the games, if Sony follows it's previous track record, we will be bombarded with new games for the PS3 any day now.
