XBox 360 Game Reviews: Gears of War

Gears of WarWow, what a game. It's been a long time since I've played a game that I just could not put down, I mean really couldn't put down. This game is amazing in all aspects of the word. From the amazing graphics, sound and realistic gameplay to the easy control system and very well done dialog, this game has it all. From the moment I began playing this game, I could not stop until I was so tired that I couldn't see straight.
My first impression from the trailers and screenshots I saw of this game was that it was just going to be another Halo let down, but let me tell you, this game kicks Halo off the self instantly. The graphics are extremely stunning and very well done. The sound and right on and really adds to the overall game immersion. The music is good and the voice overs are done extremely well and witty. There are times during the gameplay where you have to just laugh at some of the crap you and your team members say in this game. The control system is very quick and easy to learn, and once you have it down, you really get into the game. The control system allows you to hide behind obstances and blind fire or commit fire around the corners. You can also dive roll from behind object to object as well as head down full forward running that is done very well. There are a lot of very cool elements in this game and more moves that can be performed. A grip of very cool weapons, cool drivable machinery, etc.
One of the more cool aspects of this game in my opinion is that you are always with your team of warriors, not alone. This adds not only a more fun aspect to the game, but a bit more realism. I just about had it with the single look at me I'm a hero type of games, this one really breaks the mold.
Bottom line, if you haven't played this game yet, you are missing out. If you haven't played this game because you don't own an XBox 360. This game alone is reason enough to go and get one, trust me...you won't regret it.
