Oh yeah, this is more than just a port from an old Super Nintendo game to the DS system, this is a brand new game with a familiar storyline. The graphics have been changed from the old school top down look, to a more modern full 3D look and it doesn't stop there. The video sequences are beautifully done, the characters are great to see in full 3D and the storyline is very similar to the original game, but not quite the same... [ Full Review ]

Mondominio is a city of monster hunters that thrives on the trade of monster eggs. In its center stands Monster Tower, a giant stone tower built to resemble the ancient ruins of a faraway land. The massive tower sealed away countless monters, and their valuable eggs were traded on the market, with the rarer egss selling for higher prices. The tower brought prosperity to the city, and the people of Mondominio thrived on its lucrative business. Until an emormouse bolt of lightning struck the tower, damaging the seal that contained the monsters. Chaos consumed the tower as the monters broke loose. Finally, a new Super Mario Bros that follows in the original footsteps of the game that made it a hit. Now I'm not saying that all the other Mario games weren't good, not by a long shot. I'm just saying I'm glad someone out there dicided to go back to the kick butt basics of the original title. This game is fantastic, an awesome addictive play. I just picked this game up on Friday and by Saturday I was at world 8-3... [ Full Review ]

DS Game Reviews: Metroid Prime: Hunters
|

Metroid Prime Hunters is a fantastic example of what the Nintendo DS is capable of. This game truly shows the graphic power of the Nintendo DS as well as what can be done with the touch screen with just a little imagination. This game is the most well done game on the DS to date. Its first person style control utilizing the DS touch pad is done in a way that makes the game extremely easy to control and much more like what you'd expect if you were sitting at home playing an FPS on your computer using the keyboard and mouse. The graphics, attention to detail, sound, storyline, multiplayer mode are all extremely good... [ Full Review ]

DS Game Reviews: Super Monkey Ball: Touch and Roll
|

In February 2006, possibly the most frustrating game in history, Super Monkey Ball: Touch and Roll was released for sale in the UK. As a huge fan of its Gamecube counterparts, I snatched this game off the shelves as soon as it came out!! So, onto the game. After selecting campaign mode, to which there is no story line, you are greeted by four familiar characters: Aiai, Mimi, Baby and Gongon. After coming to grips with the absurdity of the names, and the temptation to seek out and kill the game creators, you are faced with your first maze... [ Full Review ]
