God of WarThis game is incredible. I find it hard to believe that it took me until now to find this game. Why was this game not marketed better? I remember seeing the commercials for it, but it did nothing for the game itself. This game has it all. A great storyline. Some of the best gameplay I've ever seen. Beautiful graphics, great sound and fantastic character animation. I love a game that just gets right down to it. It's even better when it has suprising content in it. You're not going to even have to touch the manual to start playing this one. Just grab the controller and start playing. It explains what's going on as you play, just in case you haven't figured out the moves on your own. This game is definately for mature audiences only, and I mean that in more ways than one. This game has a lot more than just blood and violence in it. But as for the mature audiences out there, this is definately worth buying, if you don't have it, get it.

YOU WONT WANNA PUT THE PAD DOWN
This game really is amazing, from the first second you start to the final dramatic climax you will not want to put your pad down. The graphics are second to non ewith some beautifully crafted, fully-interactive, destructible environments that will have you gaping open-mouthed at the screen in wonder. The sound is amazing with some spectacular music that is just as impressive as the scenery, for example as you emerge from the dark, damp underground passageways of the sewers to be greeted by the towering, almost spiritual gates of Athens a magnificent triumphant chorus hails your return to the city or as you blow the horn to part the sands of the desert you hear a truly awe-inspiring refrain. The gameplay is stunning and the innovative new technique of having different mini-games to brutally finish-off each enemy adds a new level of depth to the composition of the game. This is a wonderful new idea where, from opening a chest, to shoving your blades down a minotaurs throat, to ripping a soldier in half with your bare hands, a brief mini-game ensues, where, as you press buttons in sequence or hammer a key as fast as possible, on the screen you can see Kratos jumping around dodging the enemy and finishing them off in an extremely violent way. This ingenius new innovation has the possibility to change how games are played forever, the ways you can finish off your enemy are extraordinary, with some breathtaking moments that you would only expect to find in high-quality action movies but this introduction into the gaming world is a revolution. You can sit back and watch in awe as you character jumps off walls striking the enemy, lunging, dodging, the list goes on and on. The brutal dispatching of your enemies gives you a truly wonderful sense of achievement. The rest of the gameplay is also great, movement is simple and magic is straightforward to use and provides another entertaining way to slaughter your condemned adversary. Kratos is the perfect anti-hero and provides a unique gameplay experience, all of the characters are well-designed each with their own special personalities and characteristics. the plot is also brilliantly carried-out, unlike some games where you would just rather skip the boring cut-scenes in this game you just put your pad down and immerse yourself in the story. From all of this it is obvious that several barrel-fulls of effort have been put into this masterpiece. As you progress through the game you meet the various gods who each grant you a new magical power to aid you in your quest to defeat ares god of war. You also obtain orbs, these are used as currency with the gods in order to power-up your weapons and learn new abilities. Once again this addition broadens the gameplay and adds another level to the game. Forget anything you have ever heard about it, though i doubt you have, it is a truly remarkable gem in this gaming age of dull remakes and sequels. BUY IT
