DDR Extreme 2This version of DDR for the PS2 is fantastic. First of all, the fixed that horribly annoying corner button issue from the last DDR extreme. Next, they changed to format of the game to make it more like a real point driven game. Instead of just being able to instantly select all but hidden songs at any difficulty right from the get go, you have to earn points to unlock, buy and play through all the songs from easy to heavy with various play modes. Sometimes the level is straight forward, step on the arrows as they arrive. Somethimes the arrow bar is missing or collapsed all into on multidirectional arrow. This DDR is highly addictive and fun. I have a hard time not playing this every chance I get. It seems to me the people at Konami finally sat down and looked at how the people were playing the game and tried to get rid of the things that make the game get old really quick. Lots of new songs, levels, modes, characters, works with eye toy, unlockables and there is a shop where you can spend your hard earned dancing points to purchase new items as they are unlocked. If you like DDR, you have to get this. If you have never played DDR before, this one is great to start with.
